Reading Monday to Thursday.
Readers will come home each night, these will be books your child has seen and Read at school.
Ask your child to- predict what may happen next
- try to change the ending
- find words in the book ( high frequency words)
- ask what the picture tells us
- retell the story in their own words
- explain their favourite part and why
Spelling Monday to Thursday.
There will be a spelling quizz on Fridays of these words.
Sometimes the words will be from the essential lists, other times they will be rhyme words, or topic words- based on our current study.
Numeracy/ Literacy work sheets.
Sometimes a practice sheet will be sent home to be completed for that week.
Poems.
A poem will be sent home each week.
This is to decorate and learn.
